Excitement is in the air with the updated Wishbones for Pets website and many new features such as webinars and teleconference calls to come.
The aim of the website is to use technology as a platform to reach out to pet sitters and to encourage greater participation in helping the shelters and pets in need. We ask that you spread the word about this united event in our industry.
Therese Kopiwoda of PetsitUSA and co-owner of Wishbones for Pets is the driving force behind the new website and is also available to assist you with your website and social media needs.
We are pleased to announce Pet Sitters Associates as one of our corporate sponsors and invite you to become a sponsor by making a donation or purchasing a banner at various levels. (see our Sponsor page for information)
As a representative of Wishbones for Pets you’ll have access to the Yahoo Group where you will find templates, ideas and suggestions to make your campaign a success for your charity.
It goes without saying; this economic downturn has put many shelters in a crisis situation and as pet sitters we can make a difference. The key to the success of the program is to start early in laying the groundwork by first selecting a charity, getting permission to work on their behalf and recruit local businesses to be a drop-off spot. After that, it’s pure fun to be creative with your charity drive and to showcase your own business.
So what are you waiting for? All pet sitters are welcome, it’s FREE and you don’t need to be a member of any professional organization. (If you wish to be listed in the directory there is a nominal fee of $10). This directory offers so much more and a great way to get your name “out there”! Here’s an example of how your listing will appear. Sign up today! All registrants will be posted starting March 1st.
Make 2011 be the year you give back to YOUR community!
